No smoking gun in Kari Lake's lawsuit (not even a pea shooter)
"Wednesday was Kari Lake’s big day, her chance to at long last prove that the election was rigged and she was robbed of her right to be Arizona’s next governor.
This was her moment.
Yet Lake and her attorneys offered no smoking gun. Not even a lightly used pea shooter.
Instead, the day was filled with testimony about “pandemonium” at the polls, questionable handling of early ballots and even a conspiracy theory that ballot images were printed an inch too small and thus they couldn’t be counted.
A theory that was blown to bits in just minutes, by the way."
The whole country is laughing at Lake.

Somebody's going to end up shot to death before she fades from the headlines. It's inevitable. She's made such a big deal out of fraud in every corner of the state, whipping up her gun-nut base to believe ANY election she doesn't win is somehow corrupt and dangerous.
Her idiots will kill for her, just like Donald Trump's idiots will kill (and have killed) for him.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 22, 2022 3:29 PM |
^^^ Unfortunatley, you are very right. She's a dangerous person who knows how to attract wing-nuts and get them motivated. It's sad and scary.

Nine of ten charges were dismissed already, but her fans think she's going to prevail in court. They are as sick/stupid as she is.

[quote]No smoking gun in Kari Lake's lawsuit (not even a pea shooter)
The point was to continue to undermine the election process and democratic processes in general.
Constant attacks on voting, voting rights, and elections serve to destroy faith in democracy and buttress crazed maga, rightwing conspiracies. These frequent allegations of voter fraud and stolen election serve to make greater and greater restrictions on voting and voter eligibility more palatable to a wider group of people.
Fewer people voting almost always helps rethug and rightwing candidate.
The constant attempts to invalidate elections is boiling the frog without the frog realizing and jumping out of the water to save itself. By the time we realize that the water is too hot, it'll be too damn late.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 22, 2022 5:28 PM |
Sore conspiracy-nut losers like Lake cost money and waste time, but in the end they only hurt the MAGA cause more and more.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 22, 2022 5:38 PM |
Does she really have Trump-like support, though?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 22, 2022 5:39 PM |
R9 She does just on a smaller scale. Her people LOVE her
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 22, 2022 5:47 PM |
What a waste of resources.
Do men idolize Trump as much as these women do? Seems like these Republican women, like Marge Green and Lake are the die-hards.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 22, 2022 6:14 PM |
Those "women" want him to grab their pussies and crave his tiny little mushroom dick.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 22, 2022 6:32 PM |
I wonder if she really believes all these accusations of fraud, or is it more for her fanbase?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 22, 2022 7:44 PM |
To be fair, the Republican Party is shrinking at an alarming rate and those mega donors aren’t going to keep pouring money into it if they don’t see results. So they’re scrambling to stay in power by whatever means necessary. Voter suppression is a traditional favorite, especially in the South, but the problem with this new attack on elections strategy is it requires a stacked system of compliant elements that are tricky to assemble and keep in place, and Donald and Kari don’t have the skills and connections to carry it off.

R10 She already looks like that today, thanks to that awful Arizona sun.
Why do you think she always insisted on a Moonlighting-level lens filter?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 23, 2022 12:40 AM |
What R7 said
She makes headlines by saying she filed a lawsuit. That is all her supporters care about.
She will then withdraw most of it or have it thrown out in court.
But they won't care.
It's just the Deep State acting against their Brave Hero Kari
Just like Trump
They're too dumb to understand anything beyond "we filed a lawsuit"

Did you guys see the push poll Ruben Gallego's campaign released? It had 2 objectives. One: to push Sinema to drop out and two: to push Lake into running for Senate!
Offsite Linkby Anonymous | reply 20 | December 24, 2022 7:41 PM |
R20 That just show's Ruben's impatience and political clumsiness. He can't win a three-way race with that cunt Sinema. No one can. If he runs anyway (which he will, because his ego is as big as his plump ass), he'll lose and probably pull enough of Sinema's votes to ensure Kari Lake wins a plurality victory.
He should instead be pushing Arizona to implement ranked-choice voting, and/or runoff elections. The state has an assload of independents who would flourish under that system. But it would also mean pausing his own ambitions, and he ain't doing that.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 24, 2022 8:16 PM |
R21 He ran that poll with Lake for a reason: because she's MAGA and he'd be most likely to win against a MAGA candidate.
Sinema will come third no matter who runs. In a swing state Republicans will vote for a genuine Republican and Democrats will vote for a genuine Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 24, 2022 8:22 PM |
R22 She'll come in third, but take just enough of the vote to be a spoiler. She only barely won last time.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 24, 2022 8:28 PM |
R34 True, and she has enough money at hand to ($8m - more than enough to run a Senate campaign).
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 24, 2022 8:30 PM |
Kyrsten Sinema is going to lose the next election and all indicators are that Ruben Gallego thinks his best chance is against Kari Lake.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 24, 2022 8:40 PM |
The judge sanctioned her lawyers and gave Kari corner time.

And then the cunt will leave office in disgrace, aim for a Netflix deal (like Me Again Markle, only shittier), and cash in on the lobbying circuit. Or she'll just sign on at Fox News and set her sights on toppling Nazi Laura for a primetime slot.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 24, 2022 8:41 PM |
R27 What office? Kari Lake is not going to win any kind of office. At least not in Arizona.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 24, 2022 8:45 PM |
R28 I was talking about Sinema, but the thread IS about Kari Lake.
Arizona is so lucky to have both of these pieces of work hanging around.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 24, 2022 9:05 PM |
She’s got more bad luck than Cheetolini.
Offsite Linkby Anonymous | reply 30 | December 24, 2022 9:13 PM |
I can't believe they actually got a shitty pollster (Richard Baris of Big Data Poll who is even banned by 538) to testify. Polls sample electorates to estimate the result which can be out by several points but the actual election is decided on counting the votes. Pathetic case but as someone said above, it's all about perpetuating the conspiracy of election fraud.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 25, 2022 6:15 AM |
But if you keep saying you won, it sows doubt in people's minds. And that the next best thing to winning.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 25, 2022 6:19 AM |
Except for her own people, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that election was fairly run. Arizona went through this shit in 2020. Remember the Cyber Ninjas? It showed that the election in Arizona was not a sham as they claimed.
It boggles the mind that after 2020, there are still idiot trumpers out there willing to believe the lies brought up by Lake. We know she’s doing it for show and to out trump the original. She doesn’t get. We don’t want you as our Governor.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 25, 2022 11:53 AM |
Kari Lake has now been called out on her lies. She had her frivolous law suit thrown out, and now the Maricopa Board of Supervisors and Gov. elect Katie Hobbs have filed sanctions against Lake. 700K, baby! I hope that’s enough to get her to shut up.
Ben Meiselas explains it all to you.

I'm confused as to why she fought so hard. It's not like Boebert with around 600 votes. It just made her into a joke. I think her political career is over.
I wonder if Trump had yuge plans for her, and paid for her lawyers (or promised to, anyway)?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 27, 2022 2:51 AM |
R35 She lived inside a greased-over bubble for two years, surrounded only by paying fans and convinced that she was more popular than she really was. When you're in the midst of that kind of psychological bubble, you discard any reality that you dislike. Kari can't lose an election, because Kari is beloved and a genius.
It's also just called malignant narcissism. She can't be wrong, just like Trump can't allow himself to be wrong. Their minds would utterly collapse.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 27, 2022 3:30 AM |
Has Meghan McCain or her father commented on her loss ?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 27, 2022 4:26 AM |
She was popular enough to lose by only 17,000 votes, R36. We're not out of the woods with these anti-Democracy election deniers by any means. Democracy got a reprieve in this election but it's not anywhere near being out of the danger zone.
